The Last June Wedding

Saturday, June 27th
Well the weather held for our last spring wedding, boy you have to love Oregon this time of year. The grass is green the grape vines are growing like crazy and the flowers are still in bloom.

Making the most of the brides room the bride and her attendants took the morning at a leisurely pace. Starting their day with the highly recommended Jennifer Rand http://www.facebodybeauty.com/ working on their make up and hair. She always does such a great job and is so personable.

The ceremony was nicely decorated by Rhyme & a Reason http://www.rhymeandareason.com/, Beth just pours her heart and soul in every wedding she does and it really shows. I just love the shepherd hooks down the aisle with the pomanders delicately hanging with a bow on top for the finishing touch. Adding the fabric vs tulle to the metal arch gave it such definition and finesse it really was stunning.
Beth brought her great ideas into the reception room too. Simply done centerpieces of calla lilies & hydrangeas surrounded by floating candles with favors was placed on the guest tables.

They did choose to use BeckenRidge linens & chair covers adding their own shear pink sashes giving it a nice finished look. Pink was the overall color and it really showed in their cake done by Bittersweet Bakery http://www.bittersweetbaking.com/. Bittersweet received many compliments on the cake in style and flavor.
Wild Pear http://www.wildpearcatering.com/ was catering this fine event and did a great job on presentation and mouth watering food.

The day ended with hugs and cheers of congratulations. For those of us here at BeckenRidge it was hard to see the last June wedding come and go. Though we look forward to July and the many celebrations to come and blog about.

Picture Perfect of Simple Elegance

Saturday, June 20, 2009

What another typical spring day in Oregon. The chance of showers was a little threatening making the bride very nervous, though we never felt a drop. We remained with her Plan A of ceremony on the lawn however if needed we could of easily pulled it under the covered patio. The cloud cover once again helped make for some amazing pictures.

Simple elegance easily describes this brides decor. Remaining untouched from decorations was the metal arch, leaving the bride and groom to be the focal point. The array of pink Gerber Daisies nicely arranged by Mary Beth Bartel http://www.flowersbymarybethbartel.com/ was stunning. The chocolate brown & soft pink linens really helped pull the colors together in the centerpieces. The caterer http://www.itspartytimecatering.net/ incorporated her colors into the buffet table and did a wonderful job with the food too. All vendors were great to work with and everything went very smoothly.

Monday Wedding

What another beautiful Oregon Spring Day!!! June 15th turned out to be 73 degrees with a slight breeze and very few clouds to speak of.

The bride was all smiles while waiting and watching her attendants make their way down to the ceremony.

A string quartet put together by Josh Koller 503-930-7801 played beautifully during the ceremony joining the sounds of the spring birds.

The lush grass didn't stop those in wheelchairs negotiating themselves down to the ceremony as well as back up for the reception.

They moved right into the main room for the reception.

The reception area was decorated mainly in white using BeckenRidge linens, chair covers & sashes. They added their touches of lilac in the centerpieces & table runners.

As the evening came to an end a extravagant classic limo arrived to take the bride and groom to their next destination.
